Marimekko Oiva Nanuk Plate
The polar bear finally gets his moment in the sun with Marimekko’s Nanuk or polar bear print plate. Designed by Teresa Moorhouse, she unusually placed the bear in a topical surrounding where red flowers and lush greenery adorn the background. The shape of this small stoneware tray was designed by Sami Ruotsalainen and features a small lip at the edge to keep items from falling off the sides. The perfect size, this tray can be used in a variety of places around your house. Place it near your front door to stylishly hold your car and house keys, put it on your nightstand to hold your cell phone and spare change or use it in the kitchen to serve cookies with tea. However you choose to use this tray, its playful print is always a delight.
