Marimekko Glassware
Influenced by the Riihimäki glass of the 1960s and 1970s, Anu Penttinen’s Sukat Makkaralla collection, which means “socks rolled down” in Finnish, challenges the conventions of what glassware can look like. A distinct and lively interpretation of everyday objects, this collection’s bright palette acts as complement to each piece’s unique form. Hand made from mouth-blown stained soda-lime glass with the colors running inside, not just on the surface— all of the pieces in this collection are dishwasher safe.
