Tonfisk

Classmates Brian Keaney and Tony Alfstrom launched Finnish design company Tonfisk (Tuna Fish) in 1999 to shake things up in a sea of similar products. Their philosophy is built on Father of Modernism's Louis Sullivan functionalist dictum: "Form follows function doesn't mean all objects have to look the same." Instead of making variations of the same product, Tonfisk creates new concepts that redefine how we think about everyday objects. The designs have earned their way into magazines and museums but best serve their purpose in the personal spaces of modern design enthusiasts.
